Palm Sunday

This morning dawned bright and sunny, and I slept in....it felt wonderful after yesterday! I can't believe that today is Palm Sunday! Time is flying....

Majesty worship His Majesty, Unto Jesus, be all glory, Power and praise, Majesty, Kingdom authority
Flow from His throne, Unto his own, His anthem raise.
So exalt, lift up on high, The Name of Jesus
Magnify, come glorify, Christ Jesus the King
, Majesty, worship His Majesty
Jesus who died, now glorified, King of all Kings.

Then said Jesus to His disciples  If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross and follow me. Matthew 16:24

And whosoever doth not bear his cross, and come after me, cannot be my disciple. Luke 14:27

We set off to get a taxi and just as we were walking by the orphanage, Melinda, the director of the orphanage asked if we would like a ride, so we hopped in! It was very nice! So thus I met Melinda, Her and her husband lived in Ecuador for over 20 years. They founded the orphanage and it is their life work. Her husband died just a year ago, but she carries on their work here. So we were able to learn a lot about her and how For His Children started, it was a great way to start the day! We then headed to a Spanish church, as I wanted to at least go to one Spanish service while I  am here. I didn't get a whole lot out of it, but I was able to learn quite a few new words, which is always a good thing! They sang a few songs that I knew, only in Spanish, so that was neat to actually be able to see those songs in Spanish!

We went out for some lunch and Italian ice cream. Then we stopped at the orphanage to say hi and help with some bottles after they woke up from their naps. The children were so happy! It so much fun to see their happy and smiling faces. Children are truly a blessing from God!

We wore our Ecuadorian clothes today!! It was a lot of fun, we got different kinds of stares today, but it was funny to see the looks we got. I think people were a little confused, but we were assured that we looked beautiful, and did a wonderful job picking out our Ecuadorian clothing.

Here we are! We are standing in front of the soccer stadium. Soccer is a big thing here, and there is a really big game on Tuesday!
