Precious Moments

This morning we woke up to rain again.....
Every morning I thank God for the rain, but I often forget to be thankful for it and the day goes on.... It has rained almost every day for a week and a half! No sign of letting up soon! Its Winter in Ecuador, personally I would much rather have snow! :)

Today is physical therapy day, so the physical therapist was here working with the children! Its so sad to see the children crying because often the therapy hurts, but its also wonderful that they can get therapy! It is for their good, but they don't understand that. One little boy with cerebral palsy was standing on his own for the first time in his little body cast. It is so rewarding to see them start doing new things and overcoming their special needs!

These are images you can't erase from your mind, like feeding the little baby that wouldn't eat anything if you didn't force him. A little brother and sister holding each other close, because they only get to see each other one or two times a day. An older brother visiting his little brother, comforting him when his therapy hurts, and sharing his jello with him. The smile from the little one who doesn't smile much. The smiling, happy, bouncy, little girl who is so excited to see you, but she still doesn't have a family.

A huge praise, I forgot to mention it yesterday the little baby that was in the hospital is back "home" and doing very well, I heard her crying yesterday and was shocked! It was a strong little cry! She is eating and breathing well!

Well tonight we ended with a foam war, to end the last day of Carnaval, but I don't think this war will end at midnight....
