This morning I was blog reading and came across this post, God is on His throne. I always enjoy Charles Spurgeon!
This morning after breakfast Natasha was in the toddler room and I was in the baby room. In between dressing and keeping them smiling, I ran back and forth asking Natasha Spanish questions and using my new words with the tia's and the baby's!! :) Its so exciting!! It must have wore me out to, because after that I fell asleep in the rocking chair feeding a little girl, the tia walked by and in English asked me, "are you sleeping?" haha yes, I am!
Mid morning we loaded up all the kiddo's and wagons and headed to the pool again! We swam for over two hours! We took children from 2 yrs. - 6 mo. in the pool! Even a tia came in with us! For some reason they don't really like to go in. It was very enjoyable, the tia was practicing her English and I was practicing my Spanish, we managed to say a few things with no outside interpretation! Toward the end I had a sweet little girl who was laying on a kick board, she is about 6 mo. old and she was falling asleep just chilling....I was ready to join her! So we finally got out and hauled all the children back for a late lunch. Natasha and I headed home and both collapsed in our beds for a good nap!
I have been pondering what it will be like to go home, my heart is so torn! I miss my family, my nephews, my church family, and some of the familiarity's of life back home, but how I have come to love these children, this work, and these people! It seems whenever we walk through one door, we leave behind a whole room.... but the memories always go with you! Its so neat to see how God continually changes us, through experiences and people around us! Yes, I am a thinker and Natasha and I are always pondering different things together! Its such a joy!
This evening we tried to go to a parade but didn't make it...and it rained again.......so we pretty much missed out on Carnaval...but Natasha did spray me with the foam stuff that everyone sprays around here...
