My last Tuesday...

Today started bright and early! I knew the tias would need a lot of help right away...and I was right, I was trying to hold a neb on a screaming baby and feed another screaming baby a bottle....then when I gave another little baby her bottle she started coughing so bad she vomited all over.... I'm so thankful that God has allowed me to be here during this time to comfort these sick.little ones and to lend a hand to these tias that are running a little short right now. Since the little baby is still in the hospital the tiaa are taking turns doing 24 hr. Shifts so that way someone is always with her.

Later on in the morning they didn't need my help so I helped out the volunteer coordinator for awhile, then worked on my photo project this afternoon...

They are working on starting a tia sponsorship program so I was able to listen as Kathryn was translating the interviews with the tias. It was really special to hear the tias answers and learn more about a few of them!
Then I went down to the toddlers, it was so much fun! They were all so excited to see me! Shouting tia, tia, tia!! I do love that name! In English or Spanish...I love all the smiling faces and big hugs! Or course the fits and tears come...after all they are children!

I had a wonderful conversation with "miss A" I was quite impressed with my Spanish! My conversation level isn't to bad with children! :) They are the easiest to talk too! "Miss A" know I'm trying to learn Spanish so she is quite helpful! She loves hearing me talk about my family....and I love telling her!

So we played until supper, then after supper all the older girls jumped up to help wash/dry/put away dishes and wash the tables! I was quite impressed! Its so wonderful that they are teaching them skills! They did it with such cheerful and willing attitudes!

This evening my landlady invited me to join them for a devotional. Her daughter is a missionary and they have a friend from Maryland staying with them right now, so he shared his testimony in English and they translated it. We sang song and hymns in English and Spanish. It was so amazing, and such a blessing!

Remember therefore how thou hast received and heard and hold fast, and repent. If therefore thou shalt not watch, I will come on thee as a thief, and thou shalt not know what hour I will come upon thee. Revelation 3:3

The internet was out again last night...but I was able to go to bed early and get rested up for another long day! :) Praise the Lord!
