But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and His righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
What better thing could be our one pursuit in this life? What more profitable pastime?
Take therefore no thought for tomorrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself, Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
How often do I waste time worrying about tomorrow, and waste the precious time I have today, to bless someone or pray for someone.
Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these.
I wonder how often we forfeit Gods best for our lives by worrying and taking things in our own hands, O the blessings God bestow on those who wait and don't worry....
He hath made every thing beautiful in his time: also he hath set the world in their heart, so that no man can find out the work that God maketh from the beginning to the end. Ecclesiastes 3:11
Today was really special! It was so good to be in church this morning, singing and worshiping God, hearing from His word....there was so many cultures and people from different countries. Yet, they all spoke English!! There were so many missionary's and people doing short term mission work, it was so amazing to meet some of these people and visit with them! There were some people from Wisconsin!! There was a guy that lived in the states for 5 yrs, then returned to Ecuador, so it was really neat to talk to someone from Ecuador that knew so much about the states yet so much about all the little things in Ecuador and understood some of the harder adjustments of coming from America to Ecuador.
I successfully ordered a burrito, kinda like a subway, in English and they did amazing at understanding my little Spanish and pointing!! :) yah!! OK, well I had some help, Natasha explained the menu to me! It was delicious!
So I feel refreshed and ready for my first full week at For His Children......All glory to God!
Brianna thanks so much for posting this. I really needed this.
